Supporting equity for all families and children.

Pride 2019

Our Family Coalition

It's Pride-a-palooza, family style! Join us at any one of the following family-friendly events we're hosting or partnering on during this action-packed month.

In addition to being extremely family-friendly–designed by our community, with families and little kids in mind–all our events are offered on a donation basis: no one is turned away for lack of funds, but we rely on community support to keep doing what we do, and June's a busy month! Please remember to RSVP via the REGISTER links so we can know to bring enough snacks and supplies!

We'll add to this list as more events appear, and will be updating with registration links as they appear–so check back often. And if you see any other great things to do with your families during Pride month resources, let us know and we'll link them here!

Embracing the Love: LGBTQ Films from Southeast Asia

Koret Auditorium, San Francisco Public Library, 100 Larkin St., San Francisco

Co-curated by Elyna Shukri, Berkeley-based producer and Mauro Tumbocon, FACINE Artistic Director. This unique film series hopes to bring to light, especially made urgent by recent Brunei ruling criminalizing gay sex, the diversity, family dynamics and narratives of coming out or being out. Shukri contends that the intersections and transnationalism of Southeast Asia's vast geopolitical, religious and sociocultural diversity do not guarantee the promotion of civil liberties, especially gender and sexual diversity.
