Supporting equity for all families and children.
More than 30 providers and community organizations present on the medical, financial, emotional, and ethical considerations of surrogacy. Surrogates and parents share their personal stories, and teen panelists talk about what it's like being born from surrogacy and growing up in an LGBTQI family.
New this year is a Friday evening Advocacy & Research Forum, exploring social, ethical, and legal aspects of surrogacy and LGBT parenting for a wider audience of interested community members and professionals.
$55 per person early bird donation; $85 after December 18th (inclusive of meals, coffee, and refreshment breaks). A portion of the proceeds go to the Gay Parenting Assistance Program (GPAP), which provides financial assistance to qualified prospective parents.
Over the past twenty years we've had the honor of supporting thousands of LGBTQI family members and their friends, from the Bay Area and beyond. Ours are families large and small, having come together in many different ways. We live in every zip code; we are people of all races, ethnicities, genders, abilities, and ages.
Strengthening these families is our mission and our joy. Your support helps us keep doing this work we love, better and stronger.
Every Child Deserves a Family.
Over 120,000 at-risk foster youth nationwide await a permanent family. One in five identifies as LGBTQ, and they fare markedly worse than their non-LGBTQ peers.
Right now 10 states – home to 30,000 children awaiting adoption – sanction discrimination against foster youth and prospective adoptive parents on the basis of religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, and marital status.
At any time that's wrong. During a crisis, that's unconscionable.
The Every Child Deserves a Family Act, reintroduced on June 5th, will put an end to that.
