John joins Our Family Coalition through Public Allies, an Americorps program that advances new leadership to strengthen communities, nonprofits, and civic participation. After graduating from UC Berkeley with a major in Architecture and being involved in many campus organizations, John wanted to stay involved in community work and joined Public Allies. Last year, he served as an outdoor educator at Heron’s Head Park in Bayview Hunter’s Point with Literacy for Environmental Justice and is very excited to be at Our Family Coalition for his second year of service.
