Our Family Coalition's East LGBTQ Welcoming & Inclusive Elementary School Forum on February 12th was a huge success!  The Berkeley breakout session came up with some great action steps for the next year, including Welcoming Schools curriculum, possibly organizing school activities around the Supreme Court decision and plans for welcoming new parents next year.

The first step was to reconvene the BUSD Family Diversity Task Force.  This is the first meeting of the year, so first timers are very welcome.  The meeting is open to all members of our school community -- LGBTQ and straight allies -- interested in making our schools more inclusive and welcoming to all. We will meet in the library and childcare and pizza will be provided.
